What new players? - Blu-ray Forum

I was at Best Buy today, thinking about picking up a Panasonic player. They were out and not going to get anymore. I was offered the display item for little off. The only Samsung1200 they had was the display model. None in stock, none coming.

They had a large supply of 1400s and S300 and that was it. They also had 2 HD-DVD models and the LG player.

I am just wondering what the deal is. I have no heard anything about new players. I really want to pick something up with 7.1 analog out.

For some reason I have a feeling that the BDA has been a little too quiet and has something up its sleeve.

Did I just miss all of the new player? Anyone?

The sales man informed me that they were selling "way more" Blu-Ray players....

We know better than to just settle for what is there. But does the general public? Think we all know the answer to that one.

Also, kjack has mentioned yet-to-be-announced players coming before year-end.
