Ill be grabbing a few of these.
I have most of them though...... Don't think the 'book' extra is worth double dipping.

Braveheart rated R? What's the story there?

Feeling pretty meh about the second disc, if it's just a DVD of the film - personally, I'd rather do without and save the space. (And ye gods I find those OFLC tags annoying! Philosophically as well as aesthetically.)

Anyway. Has anyone got a rough idea of price on these? I'm betting around $35, which'll be a complete deal-killer for me, but one can always hope.

They are RRP $23.98 but I'm guessing they will be $19.98 on release week. I'll be getting a few of these for the films I don't have and pick up the rest when they are 20% off

Sub $20 would be very nice. Thanks Nick.

(Where did you find the price from? I'd asked in two JB shops, and both times I just got blank looks - staffers didn't know they were coming, let alone have any details.)

Although they look nice I already own the releases I want from these with the exception of Kingdom of Heaven and I don't plan a double dip. Unfortunately the placement of the artwork on the front also seems to indicate that the ratings logos will be printed on. That will spoil the digibook look big time.

There are a couple there I wanted but haven't otherwise bought, and I like digibooks, so for me it's a nice development.

(But where's Citizen Kane? And a digibook Ben Hur would have been really nice.)

M rated, for Mild Soapbox Moment:
I don't see why they need to be there at all, but since they are, I don't get why they have to be so flippin' big. We're not all babies, are we, to only notice things if they're big and geometrical and brightly-coloured? I doubt a single person is going to take any notice of the OFLC blurts anyway -- if they want to watch the film, they will, no matter what colour the ratings box on the package is. Only people who benefit from these, far as I can see, are the do-gooders, who get the satisfaction of feeling like they're telling other people what's supposedly good for them.

Okay, testing ... testing .....

Nope, didn't work. I don't feel any better about it after having a rant.

I hear you. Personally I have said all along that I think having the spine size logo on the front bottom left corner and on the spine and then including the larger banner on the back with the information would have been the best of both worlds. That way anyone can easily identify the rating from the front cover and if they decide to go in for a further look the full details are on the back.

Customers are well informed but the artwork remains reasonably unmolested. Best of both worlds IMHO...

Not gonna double-dip on the titles I already have but The Thin Red Line is a must. I'm also tempted by The Sound of Music.

I was at Big W last week and they had the blu-ray of "Hellraiser" and it was rated "M" instead of "R".

Plenty of films of that sort of era get re-classified down nowadays. Terminator was R when it came out but was M on DVD. Probably the same sort of situation.

That's defianntly true, I just didn't think it would get re-classified because I could swear my old DVD copy had R.

can't see why they can't use stickers for those ratings logos. I have the Se7en digibook and it's printed on that. It must be for re-sale . I have one blu-ray where the rating logo is scaled down for G2 size of the case, as the logo size on a blu is the same size as dvd

Terminator was definitely not R when it came out, I was in high school in a small town at the time and it was rated M.

I'm wondering if the Braveheart is some kind of directors cut - I know that a lot of quite gory battle footage ended up on the cutting room floor.
