Default Another newbie to PS3 (Couple questions)

Just getting a PS3 as an early b'day/Christmas present from my husband we both wanted something different from the Wii but we still like the Wii, so we chose the PS3 cause of it being free online and cause of Move.

Anyway just wanted to know

1. Can someone explain PS+ (if I have got it right I'm sure it won't be worth it for me but just want to make sure)

2. Getting Move and is it right that the camera has to be mounted on the top of the telly. Also how much room do you need for move to work. I mean whats the least I could get away with? I have two rooms the PS3 can go in, but I really want it in the back room / smaller second bedroom, is 1.5m enough room

3. Sort of rhetorical, I've been a Wii fan for year (love mario and how easy the controllers are to use) anyway I'm not really into shooting games that much or a lot of RPG (carnival/arcade type shooting games are fine), so is there a lot out there game wise for me. I know you can get theme hospital (one of my old favourites) online and my hubby loves racing games where he can race others on proper tracks and tinker with the cars (just got GT5 coming with the PS3)

Anyway should I still get as much enjoyment out of the PS3 as I do the Wii?

Forgot to say, thanks in advance for any replies..
