Default Fifth Element Blu Ray Question...

Picked up The Fifth Element on blu-ray today and after looking on here for a review it got me wondering... Is there a non-remastered version of the blu-ray? And if so, how do I know which one I have as the packaging makes no mention of it being remastered

I think in the US they've had two versions with the latest one been remastered, in the UK we've had a different transfer as well (but only one release). So you'll have to decide from the different versions. I think our one has slightly different contrast and colouring.

Here's the French vs. US comparison.

The original US release was horrible and got re-released a few years ago with a far superior transfer but since then another master has cropped up with different colour timing but apparently its a director approved version, that is what the UK release uses.

If you bought the UK release, you're safe as houses, as there only ever was one release.
