The 3D Blu-ray conundrum

With the recent release of HUGO and the upcoming release of TINTIN I am constantly debating if I should purchase the 3D editions or not. I ended up getting TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON on 3D for the special features and LEGENDS OF THE GUARDIANS because I got it for cheaper then what the 2D version was, yet I do not have a 3D tv. And I am not sure how many years it will be before I get a 3D tv. I do know that the next tv I do end up getting will be 3D because basically most tv's made in the next few years will be 3D able.

The question I am facing is, do I hold off on these releases and wait for the opportunity to get the 3D versions at a good price and miss out on watching the film for what could be a few months to a year in waiting for that price to drop? Or do I just buy the 2D and worry about the 3D version if/when I do end up getting a 3D tv?

Anyone else also going through this?
