I think I'll try and pick this up around release, the trailer looks good and Empire gave it 4/5, just a shame it's out around the same time 4-5 blus I want more. If not immediately I'll definitely pick it up a few weeks after.

Is this the 2 hour or 5 hour cut?

Sorry Pro-B, but I think the blu-ray contains the movie version as well as the longer 5 hour TV version. The dvd however comes as either a movie version or a 5 hour TV version but you've to purchase each separately. Making the blu-ray a really good deal btw

Yes, I see the art says "3-disc Collection" so I assumed the first two are the 5-hour cut and the third is the shorter version.

But I'm more interested to know about the soundtracks, as someone said this was released in a subtitled "International" audio version with many languages spoken, and a French-dubbed version...

I somehow missed this post

What I meant to say is that the release contains the 5-hour version spread over two BDs - the first one containing Episode 1 & 2, and the second one containing Episode 3.

What exactly do you need to know The audio is indeed as intended - "International" (mix of English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Arabic, etc) with optional English subtitles for all of the dialog that is not in English. There are no optional English subtitles for the English dialog.

Our review will be up later today.

EDIT: I have just realized that my confusion is the product of a misunderstanding of the comments posted in our site announcement of the title.

Regardless, it is good to have clarification.

After Che and Carlos, all we need now is a third revolutionary biopic that runs more than 4 hours so that a trend will start.

I know what you mean, every day I look on here I see something else I 'must have' but this is a movie I really want to see, I enjoyed Mesrine very much so have high hopes for this too.

Any chance of Criterion releasing this here in the US?

I'm not region-locked, so I could go for this, but I guess I'd just wait if Criterion may release it.

Does anyone know if this release is cut?
The BBFC lists the theatrical version as being cut, but then the home video listings (rated only one month later) have no mentions of this cut, and have the same rating.
Was the footage restored to both editions of the film, or did Optimum simply cut the problematic footage before re-submitting the film for it's home video releases?
