The site says a source at the company let it slip that Diablo 3 would actually arrive before the previously announced StarCraft 2, saying: "[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule [sic] amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team."

Hopefully they don't mess with Diablo 3 like the developers did with Star Trek Armada 2 did... yeesh what a mess.

The only thing that ticks me off is I read a rumor that ONLY the Barb is coming back.

Had a high lvl barb, hammerdin, and bowazon. Only have the 'zon left. Kinda fun to play with the valkyrie tanking.

I hope this is true. Diablo 3 is my most wanted PC game, I still play Diablo 2 from time to time.

That does kinda suck.

The Assassin is my fave character class from that game.

Either that or with the stackable upgrades that came out a poison based Necromancer.

How awesome would it be if they could port it over to the ps3 or 360, I still have and occasionally play Diablo 1 for the original playstation, so much fun

It's funny you should mention that because in a recent review with the D3 dev team they said that D3 is the most console friendly game they have made.

I know that. They just said it's console friendly because of the controls. That's not the same as being on a console

This is great news. I remembering getting my Diablo demo disc from PC Gamer waaaay back when. I bought the game on release day and have been a fan ever since.

The screen shots look good, and the video of the gameplay looks good too, I know they'll put out a solid game.

I usually only play with a few people that I know online or have played with before. I typically don't play with just anyone online (for pc games that is).

I'm too nervous playing Diablo II with random people online. Too many hackers. I still feel the sting from the first time I was pk'd in Diablo 1 and lost everything I had. Nothing like a higher level character completely nekkid with no money...

It's worse when you are playing hardcore ladder. I played online for a few months last year and it was not too bad, made a hammerdin for my bot and that would run Andy, Duriel, The Council, and a few others. Left that thing running almost 24/7. Enigma FTW!

For PvP I had a Smiter and a Bone nec.

TGS may be exciting, but let's not forget that another gaming convention is taking place: Blizzcon!

This piece of news comes from Blizzard president Mike Mohaime, who teases Diablo fans by saying that the third game might see a landing on consoles.

Every game we have the discussion about which platforms make the most sense. As Diablo 3 takes shape, I think we'll do an evaluation.

I think there is a pretty good argument to be made that that type of game might work very well on consoles. There might be some technical limitations though that we might need to get past.

His words echo Rob Pardo's who remarked earlier this year that Diablo III on the consoles is "theoretically possible," since it's the "most console friendly" of Blizzard's major franchises. Hopefully, Blizzard's recent merger with Activision will make this more than possible.
