Thank you for posting this, love this movie. It's not listed on the site, did it just get announced or did it slip through the cracks?

I seen it listed a few weeks ago but waited for the artwork.

I meant listed on this site. I look at the release calendar every month and use it as a source for new releases. Oh, and I just ordered a copy from Grooves, BTW.

I don't think I've seen it listed, I often look at the worldwide releases and this is one I was likely to notice. I think unless it is a US or UK release there is always a higher chance of it going through the cracks.

Got this in from JPC. It's not so hot, looks like some kind of perhaps German HDTV source with a lot of noise reduction applied (also has German credits). Not a lot of detail. Color is OK, and it's better than the SD streaming transfers, so there's that. Also cheap...

Hopefully this gets an actual remaster from Warner in the US at some point. This is...passable. That's about it.

love robert morley in this, love the food and the Mancini score, its a really good and elegant comedy, a must have for gourmands like me

and seems it has some extras, so yeah Im getting this, I already had a carlotta DVD that looks really good, in fact with a good upscaler you could think its a BR, and seems the german BR doesn't look great, but Ill buy it for the extras

I wished it had English untertitles though

Sounds like it's the same master. I only had a chance to spot check, but due to the fact that the credits are the same (in German). I have the WB Archive DVD but haven't had time to compare them.

Talking Pictures have shown this film a few times during the last few months. Eventually I'll get round to watching it as it did sound interesting when it was announced that the channel would be showing it.
