*the entire ship gasps*

"Sir! Are you sure? We've never gone that fast before. I'm not even sure the ship can handle th...."

I'm totally psyched! It's such a funny movie. Virtually every line is quotable.

My only gripe is they should have made it "The Blu-ray" edition, so it would've been called "Spaceballs: The Blu-ray"

I really wish they'd do more of this. Like American Gangster: Blu Magic Edition.

Ordered it this morning from Amazon to go along with the great deal on Ghostbusters. Can't wait to watch these both in the same night.

Woo hoo! Saw the back cover and for the first time since VHS the Blu-ray Disc includes a DTS-HD MA 5.1 remix and the original stereo mix in Dolby Digital.

According to the specs though, the DVD being included is not the first disc from the special edition release with DTS 5.1 & 16x9 picture. The specs for this DVD match the first DVD release with commentary & a the short featurette. That first release was non-anamorphic and not frame protected for overscan. I hope its like The Graduate and instead actually does include the new DVD.

can anyone explain this joke to me, because to this day I still dont get it, and yet I still laugh my arse off everytime I hear it.

When Snotty beams President Skroob back to his room, he says, "Lock 1, Lock 2, Lock 3...Lock Loan!" or something like that....what was supposed to be the punchline? The only reason I laugh is because I catch a glimpse of Snotty barely containing his laughter as he says it.

One of the best exchanges in cinema history:
Quote:
Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
Colonel Sandurz: Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.
Dark Helmet: What happened to then?
Colonel Sandurz: We passed then.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now. We're at now now.
Dark Helmet: Go back to then.
Colonel Sandurz: When?
Dark Helmet: Now.
Colonel Sandurz: Now?
Dark Helmet: Now.
Colonel Sandurz: I can't.
Dark Helmet: Why?
Colonel Sandurz: We missed it.
Dark Helmet: When?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now.
Dark Helmet: When will then be now?
Colonel Sandurz: Soon.
Dark Helmet: How soon?
I had to IMDB since its a bit long to remember.

I think he's saying Loch Lomond, the body of water in Scotland.

I always imagine he said "Loch Lomond", it's a lake in Scotland very famous as popular maybe as Loch Ness.

Also not sure if it's related or not but in the French comic The Adventures Of Tintin, Lock Lomond is a brand of Whisky very popular for one of the main characters.
