Canada Last Vegas, eOne edition - defective audio encode?

Can't believe there's no mention of this anywhere already, so I'm wondering if I got an early edition or what...the audio problem is extremely noticeable from the first note.

First off: The French DTS-HD MA 5.1 track is encoded correctly. Figures...I want to hear the English.

The English shows as DTS-HD MA 7.1 instead of 5.1, which is immediately a red flag. Best I can tell by "turning off" speakers, the surround back and the surround pairs (i.e. in my 7.1 setup) are each getting a stereo mix of the full soundtrack. And very loud too, much louder than what's playing in the fronts+center. Sounds like you're sitting in a large cave.

There is no actual stereo mix directly offered on the disc, so somebody muffed the encoding somehow. It also doesn't sound like HD in the bad channels, so I'm guessing somehow they put a DD stereo mix in the surround pairs.

Do you think I had any luck explaining this at FS? Do you think they took it back because it's (obviously) opened?

Unless eOne does something for me, I'm SOL I guess. Do they actually have anybody to contact? I've never had any luck with that, but if somebody has some better info, I'd appreciate it.

Edit: tried Oppo, PS3, and Seiki here, all the same so won't try any more

And again: as when it was Alliance, there is still no CS department a retail customer can contact. No phone or email contact at least. Not that they would likely do anything for me practically speaking, so I'm not sure why I was thinking of contacting them (which they clearly don't want)...
