Default Rango features best CGI ever!

After watching 'Rango' twice in theaters, and thrice at home, on spectacular Blu-ray, I have to say, that to me Rango is the current pinnacle of CGI, both in terms of character animation, and virtual environments, in feature animation and live-action animation.

The detail is so astonishing, the lighting so utterly realistic, and the animation simply flawless, that I cannot help, but be devastatingly amazed by the sheer talent and work ILM put into this movie!

Just check out the screenshots, https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Rango...7/#Screenshots, in case you don't remember it clearly.

I believe a big part of it is the lighting. Unlike most live action/films, including Avatar, where the lighting is more fantastical, the lighting in Rango is just spot on and feels completely natural.

Avatar feels like a super hi-rez computer game in comparison.

In addition to that, you have all the wear and tear, clothing, hair, fur, wrinkles, skin patterns, super detailed eyes (most CG movies don't bother), water, dust, fire, organic material, you name it.
The list is literally endless!

ILM definitely deserves every single award for this one!

Hats off to ILM!

What do you think?
Did it blow you away as well?
Did it blow for you?
