Default MS and Bungie divorcing?

huh. if true, that's not so fantastic news for MS gaming, especially if bungie goes format-agnostic as a result.

sounds like maybe MS wants to turn bungie into halo, inc and the bungie folks aren't too excited about that.

i start my countdown to the pronouncements from the xbots that bungie are a bunch of talentless hacks anyway... now.

They can't leave, MS owns them

What IS likely happening is a bunch of people will split to form their own company, and the bungie name will slowly become irrelevant

I know of Valve software but I have honestly never heard of Bungle. SW manufacturers come and go in the game industry. They are usually one-trick ponies.

I loved SSI games though, and Sierra, back in the early 90's... those were some of the best games. All those Quest games, loved 'em.

not true though in the case of bungie.

ah yes, those were the days... when they were a developer on the mac platform. they made a game called marathon back in the day, which was pretty good. then they made myth, which was a pretty killer game also.

It's just Bungie growing their own legs. Microsoft still will have first offer on their titles. And MGS still is the exclusive owner of the Halo franchise.
