Exclamation Maybe a boycott will solve this problem.

Cheers to Sony for extending the olive branch to unify the HD format. Jeers to Toshiba for making it a holy war. Never buying their products again!

Not only do I suggest not buying ANY Toshiba products for this blunder, I suggest we do not buy Blu-ray until this fiasco is settled.

I would still buy other Sony products because at least they tried to make it right. Toshiba? Prrrrf!

We have a unified voice people, let's use it.

As you've seen: May not even be necessary.

Keep your fingers crossed!

I am boycotting Bluray until they get their image quality sorted out.

While I know that we are all in favour of BD here, I am surprised that there is not more talk about the disappointment with the current releases' image quality.

I was going to jump right in but until I hear better things about picture I am holding off...

Granted it sounds like the Lions Gate releases are better, but still, from what I hear things are not what they should be...?

They won't invest money on a product if they are just breaking even. Buy blu-ray= they win format war. Buy nothing format war goes on. We can't be the swiss we have to take sides to get the war over with as soon as possible

Come October, I suspect that will be a far more appealing proposition.

Excatly - from what I have read (which is more and more every day) it seems that both the Samsung player and the initial discs are sub-par. Too much $$$ for that...

That said, just try and stop me getting a PS3 in November

Cheers!

Ya know, that makes sense. Nothing I hate more than namby pamby types who take neither side. It's like they have no conviction at all.

However, my side of this "war" is still blu-ray.
* Do I support the effort? Yes.
* Will I vote for it in all the polls? Sure will.
* DO I want it? Naturally.
* Will I buy it now? ...Do I look that stupid to you?
