Next UK version Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

Can Anyone tell me if the UK version of Next is region free? I have an American PS3 so don't want to buy it not knowing if it will play.

42 Blu-rays and counting.

if it is paramount/warner, then it is likely region-free.

I doubt this title is going to actually be released today. I haven't seen any retailers showing it in stock yet, and the release date in my lovefilm rental queue changed from 24th Sep to TBC a while back.

I live in the UK and I am still waiting for mine to arrive. It is thought Entertainment In Video. As soon as it arrives I will let everyone know if it works on Region A.

And it still hasn't appeared in my lovefilm rental queue whereas every other title released yesterday has.

So none of these places actually have it, which is a situation that is often followed by the title disappearing completely.

Right, sorry for the delay, this is a strange one.

I spoke to my guys why i used to work and they had 2 answers:

Warehouse guys - yup its coming in, got 550 on order from Crownville just waiting for it. (i can confirm this on the release schedule)

Website guys - um, er, no its not being released, um someone should have taken it off the website, i'll check into it.

So, no better than we started.... except that its distributed by EIV in the UK and on the schedule i have the warehouse even has a bin number (they only give titles bin numbers a week before the stock arrives, they would not do it otherwise)

So i'll wait a few more days and see what happens but im more inclined to believe the warehouse guys than anyone else, their in touch with the distributors more than anyone else apart from the buyers.

I'll be back......

I found this on a UK wholesalers web site. It says it is in stock to go out.

I think 'next' on blu-ray is possibly in stock now most places I checked that had out of stock have now got in stock as the status.

Also I looked all round my town centre yesterday and all the stores like HMV and Virgin said the stock simply didn't arrive. When I checked the tesco website they said that item would take 27days to dispatch and ive checked today and its now moved to 1 day to dispatch, so i would assume it is out now.

I have just mailed the place I pre ordered it, it was released on the 24th so it should be on it's way now. I will post up their response, when/if I get one.

No where in the UK recieved the stock on release day from what I have heard and seen myself.

But judging by the status thats now appearing on online stores it looks like people are recieving stock now! So its likely to have been some shipping problems rather then it being cancled, this happend with a few blu-ray releases before and a good few ps3 games

Hi guys, no more news on Next from my guys (still awaiting stock) but he said that face off and Transformers (original) are now in! So expect them on Monday, or if you lucky friday!

Days of Glory, Transformers and Next is being packed for me also and I'll report the region coding on these. My guess is that all are region free

Also i think we might be getting some news about Kill BIll 1+2 and Pulp fiction in the next few weeks.
