Was this any good? I don't think it was shown here in Canada. I saw the movie while visiting Palm Springs and thought it was great.

I didn't know this was on Blu. I enjoyed it.

Only thing disappointing is that the show was canceled after ending on such a cliffhanger... especially since now Rue McClanahan has passed away in real life.

Well, not really a cliffhanger, since it ends with the words "To Be Continued", which suggests you simply have to go to the movie. The series literally ends where the movie begins. The series is a prequel to the first movie.

Actually Canada was the only country that got the dvd set uncut.
The US set was cut

Can you share what was cut from the blu-ray release compared the the first DVD released in Canada? I had the DVD from Canada, but once I heard the blu-ray was coming out, I threw my DVD out, mainly because the audio was out of sync on every episode after the third or fourth. Also, the picture quality was pretty horrible and dark.

However, I wasn't aware they cut stuff out of the blu-ray?

Didnt have a problem with my DVDs.. strange.
I bought them straight from the Del Shore's website signed by him and Jason Dotley
You shouldn't have thrown it away. It contained extras.
The US DVD and Blu-ray are bare bone releases.

Now the Canadian Blu-ray is announced WITH extras
