Default If you lost your collection (fire, theft, etc.) what would you replace?

Inspired by this thread. What percentage of your collection would you repurchase? If you had an opportunity to start again, how would you approach it?

It really is hard to say, it would definitely put a damper on things. I'd probably start out with replacing my Disney/Pixar titles.

My collection is fairly new, so I would probably replace 90% of it. Hopefully, I don't have to find out.

Bummer thought.

Without dollar constraints--I'd replace nearly every title, but in reality I'd go with my Trek and MCU titles first.

I'd probably recollect about 90% of the blus I have now. I'm mostly just collecting my favorites this time around, as I had large VHS and DVD collections that were mostly just dust magnets.

My general rule these days is:
If I haven't watched it in two years and have no immediate desire to, then it goes up for trade or sale.

Eventually, assuming my family was taken care of first.

Probably none or at the most 10 titles or so that mean a lot to me...I would take it as a sign collecting maybe isn't worth it and turn my attention to other things.

Not all of them, but there are core pieces I would... like my Disney and AFI 100 collections.

I'd keep it under 100 titles.

Whatever got lost, that's what I am paying insurance for . Here in Australia most insurers only cover up to $5000 of physical media on a general contents policy, therefore if the value of your collection exceeds this amount and you want to have them insured, you need to have them listed separately as valuable/specialty items and pay more for this. I have my physical collection (which is made up of mostly Blu-ray's, DVD's, CD's and video games) insured for $35000.

I would probably be relieved of the burden.

Over time I may reacquire some of the main horror releases and a few of the Criterion titles.
