The Fugitive - once one of my favorites and still great

Honestly haven't soon too many of the others but I do recommend Tora Tora Tora. It's tells the story of the Pearl Harbor attack from both sides and is pretty realistic. No personal made up subplots either.

North by Northwest-It's Hitchcock, and it's a great adventure, mystery, suspense....it's Hitchcock!
Its a Wonderful Life-Solid Christmas film, and one of the best.

But it is a good technical recreation of the real-life escape, with a serious Clint Eastwood, and nasty Patrick McGoohan playing the warden this time instead of the prisoner. Not classic Clint, but it'll do.

It's...okay, but to understand what box-office buttons Irwin Allen pushed in the 70's, you really have to start with "Towering Inferno". After that, you can appreciate how Poseidon invented all the classic tropes first.
