I thought there was a topic for this release, but apparently not.
Someone manage to find the US version of the set, and there it's not a digibook.

But I've only bought the UK version.
So my question : is there any news on the packaging?
The amazon picture doesn't even have the age classifications.

The previous 2 UK releases have only had a single packaging type so I expect Season 3 will be exactly the same (BD case inside a slip box with art book)

Well I'm more interested in knowing if the text of the spine will read the same way, if the case will be of the same thickness etc...

The original US releases was a digibook then a digipak, I think they've been re-issued to match season three which should be an Amaray in a slipcase. I'd imagine the UK set will follow the same route unless Warners decide to go all Dark Side on us!

What has the US packaging changing got to do with the UK release?

We never have fancy versions so I very much doubt anything will change, it's pretty cheap as it is.

That's just a stock picture on Amazon. It will have the BBFC certificates on the slipcase as well as the Amaray inside (unlike one and two). Looking at the pictures of the 1-3 set it's a bit silly they show each season with a slipcase on the box and don't actually include them with the set like they did with the 1-2 boxset.

Not yet, I'll check out HMV for you (hopefully it will be today). I think it's just a normal size UK Amaray though. Not sure if the single season release has a book with it like the first two.

Oh I know. I've bought the first two seasons in the UK so I'm hoping for another amaray case.
But I'm more interested by the packgaging actually. Thickness of the amaray, if there is a slipcover/slipbox... and I need a pic of the spine if possible

I'll be able to post pictures later but the packaging has a slip housing the case as before, it's only about half as wide as the previous releases though.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer, so I bought my copy

It comes with the same type of slipcover as Season 1 and 2 (with the Blu spine) and the age classifications.
Happy with my purchase

Glad you're happy, I haven't seen any in-stores. Is there a booklet with season three?
