Default Does anyone collect Mcfarlanes HALO figure line?

Hey all, just wondering if anyone collects Mcfarlanes HALO 6' Figures besides myself? I actually started with a HALO 2 JoyRide SPARTAN before JoyRide filed for Chapter 11.

As of now I have a HALO 3 Master Chief SPARTAN, H3 Collection Red Interchangeable Armor SPARTAN Soldier with Scout/EVA/CQB & ODST Pack, H3: ODST Collection "The Rookie", HALO: REACH Emile-Jun & Kat(Unhelmeted), SABRE Pilot, H:R Air Assault Armor Pack(Rust Color) w/Air Assault/EVA/ODST Helmet and Armor, H:R Red Interchangeable Armor SPARTAN Grenadier Pack, & H:R MARK V(B) & Ultra Elite 2-Pack, HALO 4 Master Chief SPARTAN, 2 HALO 4 UNSC Cryotubes w/Frost covered MC, 3 HALO 4 Crawlers, 2 HALO 4 Watchers, HALO 4 5-Figure Boxed Set, HALO 4 Grunt Storm, HALO 4 Elite Zealot, HALO 4 Promethean Knight, H:R-Exodus 2-Pack Mongoose w/ODST JetPack Trooper, H:R-INVASION 2-Pack Elite General & SPARTAN Grenadier, H:R Covenant Spec Ops-Active Camo Elite & Grunt, H:R BRUTE Major, HALO:ANNV SERIES-Fearless Leaders-Forge(HW) Carter(H:R) & Buck(H3:ODST), 2 HALO Series-1 Orbital Drop Pods w/"The Rookie", ANNV Series-H3:ODST Mickey, 2 ANNV Series Guilty Spark 343 and SENTINEL Drone,
H:R White SPARTAN JFO(Walgreens Exclusive) with "Exclusive" H-165 FOM Target Locator,(ONLY release of this weapon-and last release too, so it's kinda special) and lastly ANNV Series Cortana w/ light up base...These are all MIP-still brand new in unopened packaging, I only have opened an Orbital Drop Pod that came with a "Rookie" ODSTrooper, a H3 Collection Red Interchangeable Armor Spartan Soldier pack, and an unhelmeted H:R Jun and KAT.(all the helmet heads and armor are interchangeable so far)

*FINALLY found HALO:REACH KAT(in full DRESS ARMOR)...I've been looking for her for over A YEAR! I just walked into K-Mart today and there she was, just one(probably been sitting in the Stock Room all this time) and she was on sale-ONLY $4-AWESOME!
*HA! Found HALO:LEGENDS 2-Disc Special Edition DVD at Big Lots today after years of searching retail stores for this Disc set(Didn't wanna buy it off the Internet)-Whooohooo!

It's a small collection but my area sells out of collectibles quick!

I have the Reach Team and a couple of Warthog's, but haven't gone overboard with this line. I need to get some baddies eventually.

I wouldn't mind putting up some pics, but I need a new camera...Sorry you might be disappointed though anyways, because most of my collection is still in their packaging except for the HALO 3 Armor Pack which is pretty cool with the Interchangeable heads and armor, and an ODST Drop Pod with an ODST Trooper. This is my favorite of the sets so far(besides the Warthog) because the pod has nice sculpting and weathering paint effects along with the explosive hatch that has monitors on the inside like in the "We Are ODST" Commercial. I'm mulling over opening the Cryotube next.

This is my problem, things around here sell so quick I never got a chance to get the complete REACH Team. I only managed to find Emile and my Kat is the second issue unhelmeted version...I really want her helmeted version as well-Online seems like my only avenue now, which I find ridiculous considering they jack up the price and I hate buying Online except for high-end items. The Warthogs are nice, I managed to see ONE but it was too expensive at that moment and was gone by the time I came back. The only covenant I have is an Elite Ultra locked up in his 2-pack with a MARK V...from what I can see though, he looks pretty badass.

I have the Halo Reach Legendary statue. I believe McFarlane made that right?

Just bought the HALO 4 Series 1 5-Figure Boxed Set. Very cool set with a nicely sculpted Promethean Watcher, Promethean Crawler, an articulated Cortana with "floating" Terminal and Plinth Base, a newly introduced SPARTAN Warrior, and a Master Chief(SPARTAN). This makes my fourth Master Chief-(Single Pack), (2 Frost Covered Master Chiefs w/UNSC Cryotube Sets) and the 5-Pack issue...and I've yet to open one, Oh well, it's a nice pack-the Promethean Characters are very cool designs.

To any other Collectors, what have you found to be pegwarmers in your area?...around here the Drop Pod Sets aren't moving as fast as other items like the Warthog, I guess it must be the price...Toys'R'Us wants $50/plus tax for it-CRAZY! I got mine at TARGET for $45

I liked it so much I bought one to open and another to keep MIP. Other than that, the Single Pack figures fly off the shelves which is why I've yet to complete my REACH: Team NOBLE group, to you guys I PM'ed, please let me know if you find a helmeted KAT, Thanks.

Sorry man, my camera crapped out on me and have yet to get another...and I keep the figures in their packaging, I'm one of those MIP Types...not trying to make money off of them later, I just like the figs and the packaging. I rarely open a collectible unless I just HAVE to pose/display them(an urge I struggle with often), but I don't really have the room to accommodate much. I would link some pics up, but I haven't figured out how to do that just right yet.

I know talking about figs and not showing pics is lame, but alas-I have no excuse...*Edit*- This is the best I could do about showing the 5-pack...It's lame, but it's the best I could manage/figure out-to do...so, uh, here goes...

I've been buying McFarlanes Micro Ops Line lately, 2 ODST Drop pods w/buck, dare, & "The Rookie", and the Warthog & Mongoose w/Spartan Mark V, UNSC Trooper, & Spartan Recon...I have to say the vehicles are VERY nicely detailed for their size, I think I'm gonna get into this line as well...

*added a Banshee to my Micro Ops collection, AWESOME Sculpt of the vehicle BTW which also includes two little Elites-Spec Ops & Ranger.
*added a Ghost vs.Wolf Spider with Emile.
*added a Falcon Drop Ship, Beautiful rendition of this Osprey-like vehicle, Rotors spin and also rotate VTOL style and Canopy opens, comes with Pilot, Carter and a SPARTAN.

I like the drop ship and all that, but it is heavily overpriced to me. I might try and grab some of these once they go on sale. BTW, have you seen the new remote control warthog Orbit? Pretty cool IMO and should fit a Spartan or two.

Yeah, I hear ya about the Drop Pod...given enough time retailers will HAVE to lower the price just to move product and regain shelf space. It's a nice reproduction BTW and the explosive hatch has blank monitors on it, it would'a been cool if they could have put up graphics and technical spec type things on 'em, nevertheless it's still cool that they're there though. I haven't seen any Remote Control Warthog Orbits around here, but that could be because they sold QUICK!-or they just haven't made it down here yet.

I've noticed Online that the Promethean Watcher AND Crawler have been released on Single Cards, yet around here they can ONLY be found in the HALO 4 5-Pack?...what gives? are they moving that fast down here or are they yet to be released Mass-Market on single cards?...I kinda pisses me off how slow product gets down here.(if at all)I wonder if Promethean Knights have been made already, and they're just selling like hotcakes!-cause that should be an AWESOME Sculpt.

This is problem I have with the Gears of War figures. Takes too long to get to retail and I can only find them at TRU. Ordered the new GOW wave on TRU.com yesterday. Had what I think was a great deal. I'll find out once my box gets here. As far as Halo, at least they are in every major retailer, but the boxed sets can be a pain. At least with Target you know it will eventually drop in price. With TRU(and sometimes Wally's) you never know when those will drop. Where are you looking to get your up to date info on the line? Non of the forums I frequent seem to talk much about it.

I usually just go to SPAWN.Com(McFarlanes website) to get the latest info on release dates and new products/figures/lines they have coming out. The problem is, they just give a general release date and not specifically about who and where they'll be showing up and when. I've seen alot of figures shown on the site that NEVER seem to make it down here for a L-O-N-G Time if EVER! It's really annoying to see badass figures, but never find them on the pegs/shelf...

Toys'R'Us is the ONLY place down here that has a larger selection than "TARGET/WAL*MART". Unfortunately they charge an arm & a leg for figures the bastards...So it's either pay $2-$4 more or miss out on your chance to snag the Fig/Veh...I REALLY don't want to order Online for such low end items and still be overcharged AND pay shipping/handling as well-it's ludicrous! If McFarlane didn't do such a good job sculpting these figures, I would'a gave up on them a while ago, but I can't help myself, I love this line too much.

I was able to find an ARMOR Pack with KAT's helmet in it(Air Assault Helm) it also came with an ODST Helm, EVA Helm and chest/shoulder Armor, so I'm not so anxious anymore about finding a helmeted KAT(Though I don't plan on opening my unhelmeted KAT anyways) but I wonder if the single pack figures heads can be removed or if they're permanently stuck on? I guess it doesn't matter anyways as I can't even find an unhelmeted KAT anymore to open and try it on...*EDIT-(Found a Spare Kat, gonna take her head off and put on the Air Assault Helmet-found out the unhelmeted figs heads are interchangeable taking Juns head off)

Info on the Web is sporadic at best, one Series will show up here but not in a lot of other places, The whole thing is just all mixed up with some lines showing in one place, yet never making it to another State...I guess since McFarlane isn't as huge as HASBRO or Mattel, they make alot less product...Kinda sucks for HALO fans I guess.

Last edited by OrbitalDropPodTroop; 12-17-2012 at 06:06 AM. Reason: *Found a Kat to leave one MIP and open and make fully Armored.

So many HALO Fans around here and maybe two or three HALO Fig Collectors?...C,mon guys lets see some collection pictures, I unfornately can't show my collection off, but surely some of you have alot more figures than I do, AND know how to post them better than I can...Anyone have "Exclusives" from Gamestop and such?, I've never managed to buy any exclusive figures regretablly, but I'd sure like to see what I've missed. This can be a Thread for HALO Figures, as I haven't seen any other...
