I had a Sony BD player for a year or so, and every time I would turn it on, green lines appeared on the screen. I'd power off, power back on.. same thing. I had to repeat this process 3-4 times before it'd power on normally.
Finally a week ago I decided to buy a new player. I got a Panasonic this time, and lo and behold.. same problem. I uploaded a video of what I'm talking about.. Anyone know what's going on here? I swapped out my power strip/surge protector.. same issue. It's obviously not the player, as both have had the same issue. My TV works perfectly fine with my cable box and my Xbox, so... what gives? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. |

Maybe it's an HDMI handshake issue? Cable problem?

Your TV might not be able to handle 1080P at 24Hz or 60Hz. Try setting the Blu-ray player at 1080i or 720P. If you replace the cable then the TV might be defective. Could also be a HDCP handshaking issue. Posting the brand and model of TV you are using would be ideal if you need more help.
