Default Spoiler: Lost Complete Collection. How to Restore the Hidden Disc's Location.

SPOILER ALERT
My question concerns the packaging for the Lost Complete Collection, specifically the location of the hidden disc. For those of you who have not yet found the hidden disc and would like to find it on your own, please navigate away from this thread. Those who have found the disc, please click the Show Spoiler link, then read on below...

[Show spoiler]I found the hidden disc (and removed it from its location), but now I'm having trouble replacing the island map to the back of the lid. The cardboard "teeth" that insert into the bottom of the lid are fraying, as are parts of the groove those teeth are to travel in. So, when I start twisting the map into the lid it doesn't stay affixed. The more I try, the more the cardboard and the teeth fray.

What have you done to successfully replace the map to the lid, as it was originally without damaging the package? I've thought about taking an X-acto blade and gently reshaping the frayed areas so that they may fit into the groove more easily, but I can't come up with anything else aside from trying the same thing (attempting to twist on the two pieces) repeatedly. (Needless to say, I've moved the disc into the main box and have no intention of ever opening the hidden compartment again. )

I got mine out with no problem, but I agree it was a little tougher to get back in. I just had to play with it a little to make it fit right, but I didn't notice any fraying or anything like that.

I suppose you were just luckier than I am. I've been playing with it plenty and it still won't sit properly. I don't want to damage the (otherwise) excellent packaging in any way.

Well, to be honest, that's just one reason the packaging isn't "excellent". The cardboard sleeves the discs are housed in are pretty flimsy, too. I hate paper packaging, because it doesn't hold up over time. PLus, it's an odd shape and fits nowhere. Great show, pretty bad packaging... although my map fit back in fine.

Yeah I feel like that aspect could have been designed a little better, but otherwise it's an awesome set for a great series!

Yeah I wish that the discs were in a more sturdy housing. Mine are already showing wear :/

Did you have the same issue with the hidden disc that I did?

You're right about the box of discs. The material could be sturdier. Also, I would've preferred plastic trays with nibs to better protect and access the discs. Come to think of it, I woulde preferred the rotation device that connects the map to the lid to be made of plastic, too.

I'm thinking of buying regular blu-ray cases to store these discs in, just for ease of access.

But I still love the packaging, overall.
