Lynn Shelton is best known as the writer/director of the acclaimed comedy Your Sister's Sister, which screened at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Her 2009 hit, Humpday, won a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards. Shelton’s first feature, We Go Way Back, won the Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance in 2006, and her second, My Effortless Brilliance, earned the Independent Spirit Someone to Watch Award in 2009. Throwing in a solid director is icing on the cake. Touchy Feely didn't get a lot of love (I've never seen it), but Your Sister's Sister was good.

Touchy Feely was terrible. It wasn't anyone's fault. It just didn't work. It happens. Your Sisters Sister is one of the most under appreciated films this decade so far. I can't wait for this. Anything with Keira is an instant watch and day 1 blu purchase.

As you all know by now, I'm a big Chloe Grace Moretz fan. Well, in addition to If I Stay, she has another new film coming out called Laggies. I really want to see it. I didn't see a thread about this film, so I decided to make one. Laggies stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell, Ellie Kemper and Kaitlyn Dever. It is about a young woman named Megan (Keira Knightley) who reacts to her boyfriend's marriage proposal by pretending to go on a business retreat, but she actually hangs out with a new 16-year old friend (Chloe Grace Moretz) named Annika. Laggies will be in theaters on September 26th.

My thoughts exactly. Honestly, I would have watched the movie even without the trailer with that cast.

Now, after watching the trailer, Lionsgate needs to just release this on Blu-ray next Tuesday. Screw the theatrical run...

Keira has been playing a character similar to this a lot lately (Begin Again, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World) and she's deliciously charming and perfect each time that she does it.

Can't wait to see this and I'm sure it will end up in my home collection with Begin Again and Seeking a Friend.

It's really nice to see moving away from the costume period dramas and making movies that interest me again. She used to be one of my favorite actresses before then, so it's good to be able to have some new movies of her's to look forward to.
