Is this for real? LOL. I take it that its based on the fighting game series?

Yeah, I think this went direct to dvd a while back and is just now hitting BD. It's sitting at a solid 3.2 on imdb if that makes you more interested.

I'm sure this movie is terrible, but all that aside, King of Fighters '98 kicked a lot of ass back in the day.

this movie was pure garbage. almost completely unenjoyable. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE cheesy martial arts movies. but this was about as bad as Dragonball Z evolution. If you want a recent fun tournament style MA movie. get Tekken instead

yyyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhh nnnnnnooooooo. DOA, Tekken, and Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li have put a permanent stink on "videogame movies"....'specially ones based off fighting games.
