I hope they don’t mind me saying this but I did write a booklet for this release and sadly they didn’t include it due to the budget they had for the release.

You could perhaps post it on your site nearer the time of release? I'd be interested to read it Ian!

Fantastic, a hugely underrated film that I've not seen since VHS.

The fact that they were planning a booklet gives me hope that it might be a decent release. I'll be happy with just a solid A/V presentation, though, to be honest.

What next? Lone Star?

Shame they're dropping the booklet, but I still plan to get this. January's not really letting up, with Indicator presumably releasing California Split and/or The Last Movie as well...

Any Sayles would be excellent, but I think Lone Star is with Warner Bros, so would be basically impossible (Criterion?). Matewan might be more realistic, being with MGM (I think). I also think Limbo and Sunshine State are both available (via Sony).

That's a shame. I really hope we get a region A or region free release of this sometime in the future. Maybe your booklet will see the light of day on another release

And bring on "Lone Star" please!

I’m certain it will have the old commentary and maybe a new interview with John Dahl but I’m not sure

That's lame.

Not you, them.

Won't stop them charging premium price though.

Haven't they all been in HMV's 2 for £25 at release day?

So are most releases that contain booklets.

Is 2 for £25 the new budget price?

Well there's a difference between not being budget and being premium. £12.50 might not be budget price, but it's hardly premium either.

Very curious about the transfer. I bought the German disc based on the Capsaholic grabs, but what those stills don't tell you is that the grainfield has a strange frozen effect in motion.

It does not look like the 1/31/2019 release date is happening for this film. Temporarily changed it to TBA, if anyone has any updates on it please post.
