United Kingdom Lady and the Tramp: Diamond Edition - 6th February, 2012

Just so that the Disney thread doesn't get too cluttered up with LatT posts in anticipation of the release, I decided to create a separate thread.

Lady and the Tramp Blu-ray

Lady and the Tramp / Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure 2-Movie Collection Blu-ray

Am looking forward to Lady and the Tramp more than Cinderella.

Pre-ordered LatT earlier on.

Surprised you didn't get the Double Pack since it's only a quid more on Amazon. Play is asking £30.

I'm excited to see Lady and the Tramp on blu, but paying the same price (or more) for a possibly DVD-free release makes me hesitant to pre-order.

Didn't actually know that, as I only looked at HMV as that's where I usually pre-order from.

Have just pre-ordered the box set from Amazon

Between the two, Lady and the Tramp. But I'm looking forward to both, for me these two will be VHS-to-Blu-ray jumps, I've never owned either of them on DVD. I've pre-ordered just the original Lady and the Tramp, I don't want the sequel, nor do I want Cinderella's sequels.

Tarzan is rumoured for next year.
The Jungle Book isn't due for it's Diamond Edition release until 2014 so that ones quite a way off yet.

Nothing on Aladdin.

Heard rumours of Aladdin, Tarzan, Mulan, Pocahontas and Robin Hood for 2012.

Hope they are all true.

18 quid for a 1-disc Blu?

For $20 you get a dvd and a digital copy as well, plus a slipcover that seems to go missing on UK releases randomly.

Where's the brigade of "We only want the Blu because it will be cheaper" posters?

I know that the US are getting a double play and triple play, but are we just getting a single disk edition, is that it?

I typed in Lady and the Tramp in the search box and this came up.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lady-...Blu-ray/33556/

I wonder if we are going to get shafted AGAIN, or is a triple play on the books?

Has anyone got any news on this, all I know is that it isn't available yet anywhere.

That listing was created before Lady and the Tramp was officially announced in the UK. Single disc and double pack looks like it for us.

though I do hope that Cinderellla comes with its sequels. I did quite enjoy the 3rd one. It was different.

I voted Lady and the Tramp, though don't much care for the writing down the side on the front cover. I don't remember watching Cinderella that much when little but Lady and the Tramp was watched repeatedly. Always made me have a little tear in my eye lol. Will be getting both eventually though..

I love having a DVD copy of the movie as well, but so long as the US don't get more extras then us I can live without the DVD copy for now and just a single BR version and no double or triple play boxsets..

Thanks!

I guess I should import, which I do not want to do.

I don't really need the digital copy, but the DVD would be region locked so no point.

Wouldn't I get hit by customs?

Out of curiosity do you think we will get a slipcase for the release of LatT? Thanks in advance!
