Awkward friend HT experience II - Blu-ray Forum

So here we are again and history was repeating itself, but I'm not sure if I went about this right and I felt awkward myself. I went back to my friends house to visit in Houston around 2 weeks ago who I mentioned in a earlier post. I always visit him when I go home and secretly give his wife money to help out around the house and with the kids. Agin he is resposible but has nothing extra to spair. He and his 2 brothers have always had an intense rivalry and have always despised and tried to out do each other since we where children and I have always been caught in the middle since I got along with all 3 of them. I always told them they could have gone so much further if they would have only combined their efforts and helped each other instead of step on each other but to no avail. So I guess this is where it is starting to rub off on me now but I quickly nipped it in the bud but not in my usual reserved way of handling things. I was at my friends place and he turned his stereo up to an obnoxious level as he usually does when I go over there. He turned to me and started to tell me of how he bought his panamax that is worth over $3,000 dollars for $300 from a guy selling it out out of his vehicle at his local supermarket. There is nothing in his house worth over $2,000. Again like I explained before it is the center piece of a boom box setup with out the speakers. He has it hooked up to 2 old fisher speakers his dad gave him that his father owned since the early 90's. I can't even find the center piece he has on line or a panamax boom box and it may just have the name panamax glued on it. I am in the middle of a move to Hawaii so I have all my receipts on hand just in case anything happens to my stuff while moving to Hawaii. I have over $20,000 on a few receipts from my local listen up shop and that doesn't include amps,tv,acoustics etc. So I grabbed them and said again I am really into audio and here is the receipt from my local audio dealer and my friends instantly said God Daaaaaaaaam and put them down and didn't say another word about his surround sound setup the rest of the time I was at his place and it was never turned to an obnoxious level again.
