India/Bollywood SOLO (Telugu) Blu-Ray

I am requesting for a review for the recent release SOLO (Telugu) Blu-Ray from Bhavani those who have got the Blu-Ray.

It would be great to get the screenshots as well as the PQ and AQ reviewed.

I would like to make a decision to purchase based on the recommendations.

Haven't ordered this but even if there is watermark don't worry. Bhavani does not use permanent watermarks.
It will be there only for a few seconds at the beginning of songs usually.

I have a few issues with this disk:

1] On my PS3, It took a LONG time to load - You could see it "loading....." for a good 5-8 seconds - after selecting/clicking the disk.

2] Popup menu or any menu wasnt active during the first few seconds - while the FBI banner and bhavani's own ad played - so, you couldnt get straight to the movie.

3] When you "stop" and "play" the movie - it doesnt resume from where you stopped - starts all over from the beginning - noticed same issue on the PC [using TMT]. Starts from FBI banner all over!! annoying!

4] Songs menu items were hard to see - the font blended into the background.

Looks like Bhavani used a diff authoring place for this - never seen these issues before. Hopefully these can be rectified.

I will post again on the quality when I finish watching - firts impression - pretty good for a BD25

Its a love story. Slightly better than the average one. Generally fullhyd has good reviews of movies. Here are the reviews for the Blu Rays reviewed. Be sure to see the Editorial rating and not the user rating

Please be warned as with many indian review sites there are some spoilers.

Solo Review from fullhyd
Vaishali Review from fullhyd
Sri Ramarajyam Review from fullhyd

Couple more issues with the disk:

5] Started the movie from a chapter marker [from the chapter menu], and at the end of the movie, it re-started playback from the same chapter marker instead of going to starting menu - like a loop section.

6] Couple of songs from the "All Songs" menu item were cut off abruptly.

The story was quite good - especially the 2nd half was well executed - dialogues were VERY well written, performances were good and the script was nicely done - impressive content and impressive video & audio quality overall.

I would watch it again.

It's common in PS3 the first time I played many blu-ray it's takes few seconds
I think the quality is extraordinary for a BD-25. I watched Ala Modalandi from Bhavani's release which as also a BD-25. The quality was not impressive and I think they improved a lot with Solo.

I am a blu-ray buyer, I buy all blurays released by Bhavani and others. Among all the bd-25 this is the excellent quality. I will check the problems you mentioned but I did not noticed any such kind, in my first watch.
