Default American Gangster Extended vs Theatrical

Saw the extended edition a few days ago and I must admit IMO Ridley Scott puts out the best extended editions (I absolutely loved his extended Kingdom of Heaven). I have not seen the Extended Gladiator yet, but I'm hoping it is released on Blu when that movie is released.

Anyway, I thought the extended edition flowed much better and the Russell Crowe character got much better attention.

Anyone else like the extended over the theatrical release?

I saw this on DVD with Extended Edition. But I haven't seen the Theatrical version.

Ive seen both.

Extended has more nudity.

So I prefer extended.

I only saw the extended edition and despite it being longer I still felt the movie was rushed. Not enough details, it just seemed to move from one event to the next without explaining how things got there sometimes. I still liked it but it was definitely not great, it was good though.

are you sure you didn't see the theatrical? That's exactly how I felt in the theater during the movie. I kept thinking WTF? What. just. happened? Then I saw the extended and felt it was much better. If you did indeed see the extended then the theatrical would be a cliff notes version for you

I purchased the two disc DVD with the Theatrical and Extended versions. The extended version really adds nothing beneficial to the story. Just some minor scenes that hinder the continuity of the original film...
