Default Marvel 2 Pack Blu/Marvel 3Pack Blu(both with Fantastic Four and Daredevil)

Hmmm I dont think theres a thread about this yet....if there is then uh sorry.

So yeah I noticed recently that Wal-Mart carries blu ray packs of 2 movies that normally fit within the same genre normally for around 15-20 dollars.

IMO that's a pretty good deal for 2 blus for the price of one.

So yea the pack that really got my attention was the Fantastic Four 2/Daredevil Marvel pack. Now I'm a BIG Marvel/DC guy as are a lot of the other users I've seen on here, so I was just wondering if anybody had this pack, or both movies and if it's worth the 20 dollars? I'm thinking of buying it.

Now I also saw that Best Buy and a few other stores have a 3 pack which includes not only Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Daredevil, but also the first Fantastic Four as well. Now I noticed the price and IMO even though it has the first Fantastic Four I don't think it's worth the current price right now(I believe Amazon has it for like 34 and Best Buy has it over 50!).

But yeah what do you guys think are these Marvel Packs worth it?

Hey OP:

Have you seen the movies? If you own them on DVD, then the Blu-Rays are a step up in A/V quality, and for the price it would be tought to pass up unless you think Affleck did a HORRIBLE job playing Daredevil, or that Marvel FUBAR'd FF2. I personally wouldn't pay $15 for each of these titles, but a combo pack for that price(or even $20) is a good deal IMO.

Yeah I've seen both movies on DVD a long time ago, I don't currently own the movies though. I saw Daredevil when it came out back in 03. IMO the movie was ok, and Ben Affleck really didnt annoy me that much, and i've seen both Fantastic Fours when they came out and to some it may sound crazy but I actually kind of liked the 2nd one better than the first one.

Kool....then I say go ahead and pull the trigger. You like both movies, the PQ/AQ is a step up on the Blu-Rays, and you're getting them for $10 each. Sounds like a formula for success to me

Sweet, yeah I'm thinkin of headin over to Walmart and buying them in a lil bit then. I'm just tryin to watch what I spend my money cuz while the majority of movies look great on blu ray, there have been a few that werent so lucky. Just tryin to make sure I dont fall into that with these 2 seeing as there's a lot of mixed feelings over the 2 movies in general even though Daredevil Directors Cut on blu ray is almost ENTIRELY different than the original version I saw in 03 at least that's what I've read. But yeah thanks for the help man.

I'll wait when Amazon drops the prce to 22.99 or less again, that's how much I paid for it and these movies can wait in your collection for sure...read the reviews and you won't be disappointed waiting, regarding picture quality coz i know you like the movie itself anyway...

Yeah, the producers basically wanted to release the film as a straightforward revenge story, while director Mark Steven Johnson envisioned a more complex tale, showcasing Matt Murdock's defense of the innocent. When the theatrical cut bombed in theaters, Marvel gave the go-ahead for the DC to be placed on the home-video market.

The basic differences boil down like this...

1) Overall, the movie is about 30 minutes longer than its theatrical counterpart.

2) The confessional scenes with the priest are cut, as is the sex scene between Matt & Elektra (thank God for the latter).

3) An entire subplot cut from the film is restored, surrounding Matt & Foggy's investigation of a murdered prostitute named Lisa Tazio. Their legal case winds up leading (eventually) to the Kingpin, which leads more weight to their confrontation at the end. The fight itself is also longer.

Ok so yeah I just bought them at Wal-Mart a few minutes ago for 20 bux. This indeed was a good purchase IMO. They also added a couple new double packs there as well. They now have X-Men/Fantastic Four and I,Robot/RoboCop for the same price. So yeah once I get my paycheck I'm thinking of getting the X-Men/Fantastic Four pack once I get paid(assuming they pay me enough of course )

Yeah I'm planning on watching these tonight, I'll let you guys know what I thought of them after.

Ok so I watched these movies over the weekend, and I've gotta say the PQ and AQ were really very good and a true step up from their DVD versions. Plus the director's cut of DD was indeed better than the theatrical cut and at the end of it, part of me actually wanted to see a sequel to Daredevil(the official sequel to Daredevil not the spinoff/somewhat sequel Elektra lol). IMO Daredevil was very underrated and chances are if this version were to have been in theaters it most likely would have done way better.

Now Fantastic Four ROTSS, I liked as well and to me was actually better than the first one. I'm looking forward to see what they do with the 3rd movie or the reboot or w/e they plan on doing with the franchise in the next few years.

I would like to get both Fantastic Four movies but I'm just not a Daredevil fan sorry. I don't see myself going after this collection.

I recently placed an order for this 3-pack and was wondering, are the discs similar to the individual releases? I was reading reviews on Amazon, and a few stated that the discs were missing some extras. Can anyone confirm the specs? Thanks.

thought all these were fun and entertaining. one thing bothers me though with FF: silver surfer. At the end, during the chase, the scene goes really dark for no reason. review said it was a last minute decision - a bad decision!
anyway if u like comics then buy these. cant wait 4 a marvel summer.

Saw this thread and realized that I never quite answered my own question. I received it and rest assured, the extras are indeed the same as the individual releases.

Default Wow 14.99 Really

I can't understand why this marvel 3 pack is selling for 14.99

Boggles my mind and kinda ticks me off that I spent 39.00 when it first released.

Oh well : I suggest grabbing this set if you don't have them already.
