Default HD-DVD Contests on the radio !?

On my way in to work this morning I heard a commercial on a local Houston radio station for a HD-DVD contest in which you can win HD-DVD bundles (thus HD-DVD player with HD-DVD movies), HD-DVD movies and a grand price of a $25,000 HD-DVD home makeover.

I guess they are having to give stuff away now. Sad .. very sad!

I wonder if they will count the $25,000 in their total sales? I would never let HD DVD touch my house, it would lower the value.

You wouldn't take $25,000 of FREE High Def equipment including modifications to your house (furniture, etc etc) to make you Home theater viewing expereince even better JUST because it was sponsored by Toshiba?

You, my friend, are friggen INSANE.

because they cant win any other way so basically for them its desperate times call for desperate measures but it is pathetic to watch hd-dud having to go through such measures because they can barely even give those crappy hd-dvd players much less sell them to be honest if this keeps up hd-dvd will lose before then format war has even ended

Eh, I'd take the cash prize if they let me. Otherwise just hide my BD player and let it happen....then start swapping "parts".

this is actually quite old news. I saw it either in hi def digest or hddvd.com
Very sad indeed. They can't compete with BD, and that is the only choice they got: giving stuff away
