About a month ago I finally upgraded my bedroom theater witha PS3 Slim and new Samsung LN40C630. I replaced my Sony S350 player and Dynex 42" 1080p TV. Boy what a difference! A picture of my updated collection is also in my home theater. Comments are appreciated

I have to say you are Laying a Very Solid Foundation with the Gear you have added.
Great Picture Quality with the Aquios HD Monitor and the PS3. The Onkyo Set-Up you have is a nice one to be a HTiB.The 3-D Capability and HDMI v1.4 Input/Outputs are a Wonderful Feature to Have. Thats why I can see a Great Future for you with the Pieces You have Added. Congratulations on the Amazing System You Have Assembled that I imagine, would be wonderful watching a movie with. |

There are so many that started with that similar setup that have upgraded it, that I would honestly suggest that you consider spending a little more money and getting into something that will have a longer lasting stay in your HT. Buying the Polks and Onkyo would be like getting the Dynex all over again.... Just jump into the samsung of speakers the first time. Here are some other brands to consider that have similar priced items that would be better IMO, PSB, Monitor Audio, Energy, Paradigm. Denon, Pioneer, Marantz, Yamaha Last edited by callas01; 07-08-2010 at 03:25 PM. |

My buddy Callas01 doesn't like Polk too much. I've been stalking him!! Polk is not your most attractive speaker but is amazing for the price and well put together. To make the comparison of Polk and Onkyo to "Dynex"..........OUCH!!! Either one of you guys can come over and audition my speakers. I guarantee it will stand up to some of the most $$$$ speakers out there. I am running your average receiver, and no separate amp. I think Polk and Onkyo are a excellent upgrades from where you are now. Good luck!

There are more movies from my archive but this is just a sample pic. I really like the Western Digital player as it supports almost any file.
Hoping here in a few months to maybe upgrade receiver to maybe the Pioneer 1020K or Onkyo 608. I apologize fr the pic quality, we have a cheapo Nikon camera with awful pic quality |
