Default Do studios want us to keep our DVD versions of the movies on Blu-Ray?

I beg the question because you get so many films without extras such as Crash or Hannibal that I just wind up putting the second disc (the one that has extras) from the DVD set in the Blu-Ray case to go along with the movie.

They probably don't. I did this with Master and Commander (missing extras) and Predator (missing extras and 2008 version is superior to 2010 version).

Personally, I don't think they care one way or the other. I mean sure, they're happy you bought the same movie on dvd and then blu-ray...

They want you to double-dip on the eventual Special Edition blu-ray.

Well, if you want to think they'd want you to keep it just so that there are less second-hand copies available at a fraction of the price... maybe, yes.

One way or the other that DVD probably won't be used at all by me.
