I like their old stuff. Licensed To Ill is by far their best album. Nothing will ever come close to what that album is. That's just the way it is. IMO, Ill Communication was their last good album. Hello Nasty was just OK and To the 5 Boroughs was crap.

He means the Loudness War mastering crap. And he's right. It's mastered terribly loud and bad. BUT.... I LOVE the newest album. I think it's fantastic and a true return to their highest form. Personally I always thought Paul's Boutique and Ill Communication were their best. I get the love for License To Ill and it is a classic, but it's so simplistic that it's almost boring. And it's SO played out, that I just can't listen to most of the (very great) songs much anymore. They're just too sacred to risk getting burnt out on.
