Have installed and can report 10A now plays Fellowship of the Rings ex edition
and does not affect dvd MR hack (where applied)
Cant see any thing new in the menus, no 24fps

strange... my player played the LOTR extended series no problem. I have 2.2 on the player too... Wonder what else this update does.

Im running on 2.2 as well, does this mean 2.4 is enough or should I do 2.3 and then 2.4?

OK, I have installed 2.4. For a quick test I popped in Disc 1 of the LOTR/FOTR extended version DVD, and it can read it now! Woot.

I downloaded the firmware, but couldn't decompress. Called phone# on download page, got instant reponse after tele-prompts, had tech within 4minutes and will get cd at no cost in 3-5 business days. I think I can wait

so you can get an update disc in the mail? i think i would rather do that anyways.
