I received an answer back directly from Eureka...heres what I was told , "we haven't done a side by side comparison, but we believe its the same - i.e. the best that's probably ever going to be"

But now the dilemma I have is that I want the steelbook version but all ready have the Criterion. Do I double dip just for the packaging? Or do I sell off my Criterion and buy the MoC steelbook

I think that's stunning. I generally don't like fancy packaging but I'm definitely going to get this over the amaray.

This is an absolutely dreadful cover. It puts in mind the Brando remake disaster. Talking of Eureka steel covers The Lost Weekend isn't so hot either though nowhere as bad as this. It reminds me in style of a 30's universal horror poster.

Now the Lifeboat cover; Well that's a work of art.

But I disagree with you. I deplore collectible packaging but I'm getting this for the artwork alone. Each to their own I suppose.
