Coming to Blu-ray September 14 from Warner Archive. Can't wait. Wish there was a 4K but at least it's coming out.

It’s Warner Archive. They’re pre-orders usually take a bit to pop up. It’s normal.

Very surprised they are releasing this series. Don't get me wrong, I loved it... but HBO's track record has not been good for releasing a lot of their programming.

This was a massive ratings hit miniseries. They usually release their smash hits on BD - Chernobyl, Big Little Lies. The rest end up on DVD-R, like The Plot Against America.

I was just hoping it would get the Chernobyl treatment. A nice 4K release even with a steelbook.

Well, to be fair, CHERNOBYL was BD-only initially. The 4K came quite a bit later. If MoE sells like hotcakes (which is unlikely, since it’s coming via Warner Archive, but we can hope), maybe they’ll follow up with a 4K later.

Yep, the UHD of Chernobyl came out 14 months to the day after the BD. They clearly released the UHD due to stunningly high sales of the BD.

Yeah, 4K isn't really a thing for releases other a few genre titles known to have adopters.

It appears as the Blu-ray release has been cancelled. The DVD release is still on route for a wide release.

It’s not really unusual for a Warner Archive pre-order to take awhile to pop up. I’d give it a bit, their September titles haven’t even been announced yet.
