Yes! Quiet Earth is one of my favorite post-apocalyptic films, and is all but forgotten these days. I've only seen this once, on the older DVD - but, really enjoyed the film - this takes the "Last man on Earth" concept & twists it around somewhat - excellent.

The PQ in this remastered trailer is amazing! Hopefully it will be released to Blu, since the original DVD is OOP & IIRC quite expensive at this point...

Geoff Murphy went on to do Under Siege 2 as well as a lot of 2nd unit stuff on the LOTR movies.

You'd think an Australian or NZ blu-ray of this would be inevitable, right?

So this is the New Zealand Film Commission's on demand website, and poor Americans, we are blocked from viewing The Quiet Earth

https://ondemand.nzfilm.co.nz/#!/home

Turnabout's fair play, right?

I'd love a Blu-ray release from Australia, or the UK through Arrow or the USA.

Good Lord, get this done! The new transfer is definitely a step in the right direction, but it is so long overdue. Anyhow, a great film, one of my favorite films, and let's just say I'll be keeping my DVD until the BD is in my tray.
