Default Where are all of the great movies about TEACHERS on BD

I was watching Mr. Holland's Opus this morning and was thinking about all of the really bad movies about teachers which get released on BD and wondered why these great films aren't released on blu-ray.

Lean on Me
October Sky
Stand and Deliver
Blackboard Jungle
Dangerous Minds
Mr. Holland's Opus
Conrack
The Emperor's Club
The Man Without a Face
The Ron Clark Story
Tuesdays with Morrie
The Miracle Worker
Music of the Heart
Radio
Finding Forrester
Goodbye, Mr. Chips
The Education of Shelby Knox
The History Boys
Up the Down Staircase
To Be and To Have
Educating Rita
Teachers
Take the Lead
Renaissance Man
Akeelah and the Bee
Madame Sousatzka
Half Nelson
Mga Munting Tinig (aka Small Voices)

I'm definitely all for "Rennaissance Man."

Unfortunately, none of these seem to be really hot top-selling commodities in any studio's catalogue. I think we'll be lucky if any of them come to Blu-Ray.

I hope not... but you are probably right. Although "The Miracle Worker" is a classic. I would love to have both versions of "Goodbye Mr. Chips".. the last one just to watch Peter O'toole. And "Mr Holland's Opus"... and, for a few laughs, "Teachers"...... And, "From Sir, with Love". I must stop writing now, or I will justify my need to own all the films on the list.

Throw The Browning Version (Criterion) into the mix.
