Also, to save space, I'm preemptively recognizing all of the complaints from forum members who will post "no pressed disc, no sale", "another MOD release; the end is near!" or any other variation on the same theme. Consider your complaints already heard and duly noted; you can now save both yourselves and the rest of us some time by not posting them.

Man... when the show was airing on the CW I would have been all over this. But now, I highly doubt I would get around to rewatching the entire series anytime in the remote future...

but, what else is there to do then? :P

I wasn't aware there was enough 'demand' for them to 'manufacture on' for this, but it's good for those who want it and would buy BD-R I guess. Just seems like an interesting franchise to start with.

Why CBS waste packaging and cover materials on BD-R releases from themselves is beyond me. Thanks to bringing out the complete series, this is probably where two or three new releases worth of money has been wasted. After all, it's not like BD-R releases are free to produce, are they?

To me, this is where licensing comes in. If you don't want to release a film or series properly, then let a licensee do it for you. If none of the licensees want the show, then that's probably a good indication that you shouldn't bother releasing it in the first place.

My thoughts exactly. There's a lot of other shows out there I'd expect to get this kind of treatment first.

I loved this show. It was fantastic. Probably because I'm not old and was a teenager when it was airing. Lol. Just teasing. Jessica Lowndes >>>>>

I want to get these but the BD-R thing irks me. I'll wait for maybe a good sale price. Don't justify paying 40 for each.

... and yet there's no release of THE GOOD WIFE? Scratching my head with this announcement. Completely came out of nowhere. Was anyone even asking for this show?

I'm all for kowtowing for BD-R if it means this gets a blu-ray release of Gravity Falls and the like. This show? It's quite a bizarre choice for an upgrade.

Season two is extremely rare on DVD, not sure why but it became out of print so it'll be nice to have this but i can see music changes since it seems like that was the cause. I really hope they'll release Sarah Michelle Gellar's show Ringer next.

I really hope this is the future. I would LOVE to get more options like this. I watched most of this and thought it was okay, but honestly just to support this I may buy them. Who knows, this could lead to more shows and studios doing this.

This just seems like a strange choice for Blu-ray. I'm not hating, I'm glad to see more television hit Blu-ray in some fashion.

As for BD-Rs, they shouldn't be a problem if they are done with care.

Can't believe this show is getting Blu-ray releases...

I bought the DVDs of the first two seasons the summer before season 3 premiered, and I was obsessed with the show. Go figure, the show started going downhill as soon as I started actively watching, and seasons 4 and 5 were practically unwatchable, save for AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Lowndes, and Jessica Stroup.

It's understandable that some people would prefer a different show, and this is a random/unexpected choice, but even if this wasn't being released, that wouldn't guarantee that one on your wishlist would be taking its place. I do find it strange though that this is a MOD release. Anyway, I did like the show during its original airing, so this will be nice for myself and other fans to have.

I agree with Cahleb, $40 a set is too much, but I could see the price dropping. Also, despite being a MOD release, they should have done a complete series set. I mean, unless you are checking out the show for the first time, you are going to want the entire series. So they might as well have made just one set.
