There was a "Super Mario Bros" live-action movie. It sucked.

Also, you misspelled Evangelion.

And to answer the thread's question...I have no clue. I'm not convinced that translating any of these cartoons would work out.

I think Yu-Gi-Oh would be funny to see in live action just to laugh at all the over-dramatized duels.

Nobody thought of Johnny Quest... someone ought to give this one a "green light"...

Voted Voltron & Robotech because I know them well.

I loved He-Man & Thundercats but I think they're better left as cartoons.

A hollywood version of Star Blazers would be great even though there is a Japanese version out.

Geena Davis also tried pitching an early attempt to do a Sailor Moon movie, with her daughter in the lead and herself as the evil Queen ( )
Unfortunately, this was way back when nobody realized the series was Japanese...

(Also back when even the first season of the show didn't know what to do with the Sailor Venus character, and the movie considered simply writing her out of the story--
I'd had some ideas--as well as an idea for how to bring "Ranma 1/2" to a US setting--but nobody ever asked me. )

Awesome. Geena Davis is awesome. I can only but imagine that her daughter is awesome. This whole project would have been awesome.

Thumbs up Only These 3, Yes, ONLY These 3

In this order...

1. Thundercats - See it created like AVATAR / GREEN LANTERN

2. Robotech - See it created like TERMINATOR: SALVATION / TRANSFORMERS

3. He-Man - See it created like CAPTAIN AMERICA / INCREDIBLE HULK / THOR -

I always loved the SILVERHAWKS... MASK... and a better version of G.I. JOE

Masters Of The Universe could work, but it would need to be the very definition of the term 'Space fantasy' to work. No earth nonsense, no metemorphosis of Prince Adam, just super-advanced sci-fi hardware against a Skeletor who is held together by cyber-technology. Basically the same tone as Thor.
