Default "From Hell" Blu-ray IN STOCK on Amazon.com!

I prematurely posted this yesterday. I went and got some meds so I'm hoping it won't happen again.

From Hell [Blu-ray] on amazon.com.

Default Amazon and Fox

I pre-orded today. However, I do not know what'd up with Amazon and Fox titles ( late to post, low stock, late pre-order dates etc). I hope it get ship out this week. Order says shipping soon, but then it shows OCT 15???

Every time I've had my order say "shipping soon", they shipped within a day.

I ordered today as well and got a notification that the estimated shipping date is october 15th. After reading your post I just checked my status, and it too says "shipping soon".

Amazon won't charge until they are ready to ship, so I just checked my CC, and behold, they already charged me for this movie. So, expect to get a shipping notification soon. My bet is it will ship out first thing monday morning.

The PQ for "From Hell" is really good i give it at least a 4 1/2. Another top quality movie from FOX. There is no worries involved with this one

I had From Hell delivered yesterday, and watched it last night. I also thought that the PQ was very good. Not quite as sharp as Day After Tomorrow, or FF: ROSS, but still pretty good. I would give it 4 stars or so.

One thing that I was a little disappointed about was the extras. I'm firmly in with the group that generally doesn't care about the extras, but I have the 2-disc DVD edition of From Hell, and I really did enjoy watching the extras on the second disc. I've been somewhat of a Ripper buff for a long time. Oh well, I think I'll take that second DVD and keep it in the case with my BD. If the extras had been included they probably would not have been in HD anyway, so it pretty much amounts to the same thing.

But I would think it was not meant to be as sharp.. it's 'soft'. Warm colors and nice depth. Sharp is not all it's cracked up to be. You can really soak up the colors.

because they make pennies on movies and prioritize their money and inventory on higher profit items. Gotta remember this things are forcasted in advance, probably 2 months ahead of release date most likely by a person who doesnt have any idea about this format other than its a movie.

What extras are there? Are all the deleted scenes intact?

I watched the first few minutes of this last night and I was so disappointed with the PQ that I shut it off. Perhaps the PQ improves later in the movie.

All the deleted scenes are there, it has some commentary, and I believe the theatrical trailer.

Not sure what's going on there Patrick. This was far from unwatchable. I did notice a few scenes where you had to work to figure out what part of the screen was supposed to be in focus, but I believe that was intentional

Amazon was saying 1-2 weeks, but I got my copy on Thursday and it was sent Standard Shipping (priority mail). The shipment originated in Florida and I had it in Alaska in only 2 days. Go figure...
