Basically, soon (within a few months) I'll buy buying an HDTV. I'm 100% set on it being a plasma, and it'll almost certainly be 50".
My price range will be $500-600 (at the most). From what I understand, in that range, there probably aren't even many, if any, TVs that would be able to use a 1080p/24 mode (aka with a refresh rate that's a multiple of 24)? I'm wondering how big of a deal it is, with the "juddering" and everything when a movie filmed in 24fps on a Blu-ray is played on a TV without this capability. Is it very noticeable? I obviously would prefer to have the purest, best representation of a movie, but that's probably not feasible. Actually, I hadn't heard of this 1080p/24 thing until just today. |
