I did a couple searches about this topic but came up with nothing. I'm sure this thread existed at some point but either I can't find it or it is long since dead. I am very curious to know what everyone's first purchases was and what it was about it that prompted you to take the plunge. Mine was The Last Mohican... I was in target looking to pick up some cheap dvds and saw that it was on sale for I think $13. I love the book and had wanted to see the movie for forever so that coupled with owning a ps3... it was an exciting tumble into addiction after that.
