OK, I watched Iron Monkey on BD for the first time tonight after having bought it quite some time ago. I've owned it on DVD for years.
My question is this; what is up with the soundtrack? I chose the Chinese track, as I HATE dubbing. I love to hear the original Chinese (I have no idea what dialect we're talking about here). I was quite dissapointed to see that obviously the Cantonese was dubbed over whatever the actors were actually speaking as the words obviously did not match the lips. I've not had a chance to pop in the DVD but I don't recall it being like this. My big question is how many of the better HK movies are like this? I have CTHD, House of Flying Daggers and want to pick up Hero and couple others but not if I have to sit through these horrible dubs. PS- what a rotten transfer! |
