Default Marvel teams up with 12 years a slave writer for unannounced project

So many different ideas of what this could be.

Ridley, in additon to his Oscar for best adapted screenplay with 12 Years a Slave, executive produces ABC's American Crime drama, and is attached to the upcoming 2016 Ben Hur remake as a writer/producer.

Both Marvel and ABC are staying quiet in regards to the project, which will be the fourth Marvel property to make its way to TV. News of a new Agents of SHIELD spinoff series also broke recently, but details are scarce with that as well. Stay tuned to IGN as more news rolls out.

This is really incredible news I can't wait until it's revealed.
I just wish certain websites didn't act dumb and post articles
That make the website seem racist and very close minded

After Daredevil, it's hard for me to get excited about network television. Netflix is clearly the way to go. Daredevil is amazing.

In the end, I'll always look forward to anything that's Marvel, and I'll be there watching - whatever this ends up being. But ABC, you can't top Netflix and its freedom.

It's really according what it is though. Daredevil for sure is better on Netflix because it is more violent and darker. I don't know how AoS would benefit from being on Netflix because of the different tone of the series.

If this unannounced project is She-Hulk for example, being on ABC would suit that character because of the tone. If this project is something like Blade or Ghost a Rider then I would be disappointed by it being on ABC and not Netflix.

YES! Especially if they got Tom Jane back and have it heavily mirroring the same writing Garth Ennis used for both the Marvel Knights and MAX imprints.
A full on heavy R for Netflix with 16 episodes of course and I hope they have Barracuda along with Ma Gnucci in it amongst many more protagonists.
I figure Netflix for the more dark and gritty characters i.e. THE PUNISHER, Ghost Rider, Blade, etc.

Maybe this one will be a She-Hulk series? She seems to be a good fit for ABC.

More tongue-in-cheek to the John Byrne The Sensational She-Hulk or more current?

I mean it by when you think ABC you would think shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Agent Carter, She-Hulk, just some that aren't hyper violent. Shows like Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Blade belong on Netflix because of the tones.

I was thinking something like Single Green Female. Borrow some elements from it.

Today's IGN.com rumor is it will be the Kamala Khan version of Ms Marvel.

Interesting, though it's a bit concerning that they mention that it would air during SHIELD's winter break. I understand that it's just a rumor at this point, but if true, it doesn't bode well for Agent Carter...

My thoughts exactly...I actually really enjoyed Agent Carter and am/was hoping that it returns for Season 2. I guess we shall see what happens.

Fingers crossed here for a season 2. I did read somewhere that, assuming it gets renewed, there are plans to produce a podcast based on the radio show, which sounds like it could be fun....

I could see them creating a solo Hulk TV Series. They can't seem to "get it right" ton the big screen, but I could see them give it a go with Ruffalo, and its successful TV history.

I found Marvel's Daredevil a rather boring affair.
