Watch this space for more info as it becomes available. The first of the new lines will be red box releases of Blu Rays, starting with The Fan in February.

This will be limited to 500 numbered copies. We’ll be giving more details later when we have them.

The Fan will also be available as a retail Blu Ray/DVD combo on March 10th, a few weeks after the red box version goes on the website.

So... no idea what the differences are other than the Red Case...

Red case has no dvd and is numbered out of 500. Blue case has a dvd and is an unnumbered general release.

What RodChester said. Plus, the limited contains a two page booklet that I don't believe is in the mass produced version. As an added bonus you'll also be supporting the company directly with the limited, helping them to produce further great releases.

Watched my copy last night and i'm still haunted by it, Very disturbing flick but a good one!

Just heard of this film, plot sounds awesome and just ordered off ebay.

Desireé Nosbusch, who played Simone, said the following in an interview with the German newspaper ZeitMagazin:
"I was 16. Everything happened so fast, I couldn't even say Yes or No. And they lied to me about [having to film] the naked scenes. I tried to take legal action against the film - in vain. And for the ZDF [German broadcast channel she worked at for a teen show] I wasn't acceptable anymore because I was supposed to be the teenage poster child. I was desperate. There were attempts to rehabilitate my public image but they failed. I rebelled on the inside. I lost myself"

To make it clear, in this film they made Desireè Nosbusch (Simone), 16 years old at the time, shoot a very long graphic sex scene with Bodo Steiger (R), 33 years old at the time. And she remains naked for a large chunk of the film afterwards. For the adults involved in this to let it happen, for Eckhart Schmidt to write+direct it is unspeakably abhorrent and disgusting. Whatever this film purportedly says about fan culture and obsession is completely void in light of this as it is inherently marred by not only its production, but execution which sexualizes and eroticizes a 16 year old girl. It is morally reprehensible and indescribably disgusting. I don't wanna write about it anymore, just thought you all should know.
