Yeah had anyone bought this yet? As it's a Fox release I would expect it to be the same (ABC) disc released everywhere, just like The Poseidon Adventure.

Confirmation: This disc is region-free. It also appears that this is the exact disc the USA will get when the film is released there. All on-disc content is English, and there is an FBI warning if the disc is played in a Region A player.
All of the extras from the 2007 Fox US SE DVD appear to have been ported over in SD NTSC format, including the combination isolated score/audio commentary track. Most extras also have French, German and Japanese subtitle options. Last edited by McCrutchy; 06-13-2012 at 08:20 PM. |

The high-def transfer has natural film grain no signs of DNR, but at times the color seems slightly off. Overall no problem.
Why is Europe getting this American war classic from the '60s before the US? The reason, could be that US buyers are only concern for the latest action flick FROM TODAY and don't care for older films. |

hard to really know what Fox is thinking.
They brought Tora! Tora! Tora! everywhere else before the US, but I'm sure there are examples of films that got released in the US first. It is frustrating because in the instance of TTT it was over a year after the bd appeared in Japan that the US finally saw a release. I really hate thinking it will be that long for this one also. ![]() |
