Black bars?

quick question guys. i was watchin rein over me on my ps3 in the living room and the black bars on the top and bottom are bigger than other movies i seen. i usually watch blus on my panasonic in my room so im noticing this now. is this normal or is there a way to fix it? thanks

To answer your question your movie is widescreen, try searching the forums i know theres a sticky somewhere.

i understand the black bars are supposed to be there. but why do they fill half the screen. i might as well be watchin a 12 inch tv nevermind sorry for another black bar thread. you can close it.
