Smile How much money do I need to soundproof my room?

Hopefully this will help some other people out

mods please move this the construction forum. My apologies

I have 3k in my bank account, I was originaly planning quiet rock but figured it's just an overpriced scam.

So I found my way to 2 layers of 5/8 drywall with green glue, whisper clips, and channeling.

I think I must be missing something HUGE I just can't believe it might be this cheap

Math is as follows

400 for drywall to cover 3 walls that are 9,10,10 by 8 respectively
two layers of 5/8
342 for 72 whisper clips
270 for 20 tubes of green glue
98 dollars for 145 ft of hat channel

that's only 1100 for the walls

now that covers my walls (I hope)

then I need a soundproof door I was thinking about just dry walling a regular door or something, I also need a pet door so I will have to get creative.

I need soundproof windows three of them maybe 3 by 4 feet I've been researching but haven't had much luck in how to do do this.

the ceiling is as of now unaccounted for, I have nothing above me but unfinished attic so I don't think it will be a problem to leave untouched. But it has me thinking if needed I could just go up there and make a drywall floor?

And my floor i think is already pretty good on soundproofing but I won't really know until i do the walls.

my end goal is to get my neighboring rooms, and outside my house very quiet despite death metal breaking my ear drums.

Thanks for reading the whole way through.

whoops wrong forum, sorry
