Default TDKR Movie Theater Standee

I liked the movie so much that I asked my movie theater to give this to me. To my surprise, they said yes!

I think the fact your a girl helped

I'm actually gonna ask my local cinema about stuff like this from now on as well. Worst they can say is no but i don't see why they wouldn't consider it since they usually dispose of it so i guess them giving it to me wouldn't be so bad

Exactly, this stuff mostly goes in the trash anyway.

A lot of it is requested back by the studios. I know it's pretty impossible to get anything Lucasfilm related from cinemas (or it was a few years back). My local cinema auctions promotional items for various charities and Lucasfilm wouldn't even let them do that.

Although, I have managed to get a couple of pieces over the years.

I got this while I was working at Blockbuster in 1999/2000. I opened the box after the delivery, saw what it was and hid it so I could take it home after my shift. My boss was pissed that it was missing but I just denied I ever saw it.

I got this while I was working at Virgin Megastore in '04. My boss just let me have it after I asked. I remember it being pretty huge and judging by the picture it's a good five and a half foot tall.

With regards to that DKR standee, it is a triangular style I believe with an image of Batman on one side, Bane on the other and Catwoman on the third side. Those images were not found on any of the actual domestic (USA) movie posters, but the studio did produce very large bus shelter posters which are 4 feet wide by 6 feet all for larger city downtown bus shelters and those theaters that have lockable frames of that size. They are incredibly nice in person and finding them in near-mint/mint condition can be quite difficult. They are double-sided and were made using a thicker matte-finish very durable photo paper so they are much thicker than a standard movie poster. While there were four different bus shelter posters made, three of them were the character styles, and one was the same image as the final style actual movie poster.

If anyone wants to view images of the DKR bus shelter posters, go to this link and scroll down and look for posting #3278 as I posted images of one of my sets so people can see what they look like. Any questions about them, feel free to private message me.
